Bridging data capability and insurance execution
Connected Insurance Hub was founded on a clear and repeated pattern: technology companies with strong data and analytics capabilities consistently struggle to commercialise in insurance — not because the technology is weak, but because insurance expertise is missing where it matters.
This gap shows up in predictable ways: strong technical capability misaligned to underwriting reality, distribution structures that don't fit the product, and governance expectations that stall deployment. The result is stalled partnerships, missed revenue, and solutions that never reach production.
The founder
The business is built on over 15 years of experience across insurance carriers, global brokers, and risk management businesses — spanning underwriting, partnerships, strategy, and innovation roles, as well as leading consultancy teams delivering into the market.
That experience sits at the intersection of data, technology, and commercial insurance — from designing IoT-enabled insurance propositions to structuring telematics-driven pricing models, and building partnerships from first conversation through to live, revenue-generating deployment.
This is not external advisory. It comes from working inside the system — sitting in placement meetings, negotiating with underwriters and brokers, and taking propositions from concept through to execution. We don't just advise on strategy — we help execute it within the realities of insurance markets.
"The gap between insurance readiness and deployment success is almost never a technology problem. It is a translation problem — and that is exactly what we exist to solve."
We have reviewed and worked with technology companies across the full spectrum — from early-stage startups to multi-billion dollar listed market leaders — across embedded insurance, tech-enabled distribution, digital channels, and data product build. That breadth of exposure, combined with deep insurance domain expertise, is what we bring to every engagement.
Why this exists
Insurance is actively seeking data-driven capability — from real-time risk monitoring to AI-enabled underwriting and claims. But most technology providers underestimate what it takes to operate inside insurance: how underwriters evaluate risk, how brokers distribute products, and how governance expectations shape adoption.
Connected Insurance Hub is not a technology vendor and not a traditional consultancy. We bring carrier, broker, and risk management perspectives into the same conversation — helping technology companies structure propositions that can be underwritten, distributed, adopted, and scaled. Our structured commercialisation methodology reflects the realities of how insurance decisions are actually made.
Areas of focus
IoT, wearables & connected data
Connected devices, wearable sensors, property monitoring, fleet telematics, and environmental sensing — structured into insurance propositions that underwriters can price, distribute, and deploy at scale.
Data, analytics & AI
Pricing model design, risk selection frameworks, automated underwriting, claims triage, fraud detection, and portfolio optimisation — translating analytical capability into actuarially credible, governance-approved solutions.
Product build, go-to-market & scaling
Embedded insurance, tech-enabled distribution, digital channels, and market-leading data products — from commercial model design and carrier negotiation through to launch, live distribution, and scaled growth.
Predict & prevent
Using connected data and real-time risk signals to move insurance from reactive to proactive — structuring risk management propositions that reduce loss, demonstrate insurer value, and create sustainable competitive advantage.
